Shopify + Fortnox: Order Sync

fortnox-shopifyUpdated March 22, 2026Integration documentation and guides

Order Sync: Shopify → Fortnox

Trigger: Orders are synced via webhook when created or captured in Shopify.

What happens: 1. New order detected in Shopify 2. Junipeer transforms order data to its internal format 3. Customer is created or matched in Fortnox 4. Order is created in Fortnox 5. When captured, Invoice is created and booked

Important: Orders can be updated and resynced. However, once an Invoice is created and booked in Fortnox, the invoice CANNOT be modified. To correct a booked invoice, create a credit invoice and re-invoice.

Fields synced: - Customer info (name, address, email, phone) - Line items (product, quantity, price, VAT) - Shipping method and cost - Discount amounts - Payment method - Order number (stored per your configuration)

What is NOT synced after invoicing: - Changes to booked invoices (final once booked) - Order notes/tags (unless configured in custom mapper) - Gift cards (handled separately)
